There has been gushing leak of images that have made their way onto Twitter (courtesy of: ViziLeaks) of the alleged Lumia 'EOS' which looks pretty real and it is confirmed by several sources that it is. Judging by the below images, this seems to be the answer to our Juggernaut Lumia camera wishes. Let's have a closer look...
Camera
These are images of a prototype of the 'EOS'. The 'XX MEGA PIXEL' was obviously put in place to prevent us from knowing the actual resolution before launch, but that camera hump suggests 41 megapixels: equivalent to the PureView 808. If you look closely at the lens you'll notice that there is a retractable lens cover. The camera is accompanied by an LED and Xenon flash. The Xenon flash makes for better action shots by reducing motion blur. Hopefully Nokia apply Optical Image Stabilization (reduces shaky blur) and low light capabilities as found in the Lumia 920. Uploading and sharing photos at 41MP will be a real hassle so the phone will take a 35MP picture for keeping and a 5MP equivalent for sharing.
The rest of the phone
The phone borrows heavily from the iconic design of the Lumia 920 and that isn't a bad thing. I much rather prefer this design that Nokia have reserved only for its flagship models rather than the aluminium-plastic mish mash of the Lumia 925.
GSMArena have managed to show us some side profiles which showcases how much the camera hump actually protrudes from the back. You'll notice that the 3.5mm headphone jack and Micro -SIM card tray are in the same places as the Lumia 920.
These photos confirm that it will be housed in a similar uni-body polycarbanate plastic. So far I can only confirm that it will be in matt black and Nokia's signature glossy yellow.
Even the charger and speaker positioning is the same as the Lumia 920.
The physical similarities between the 'EOS' and the Lumia 920 stop there. We are expecting to see an AMOLED display on here which is better suited to Windows Phone as its known to bring deeper blacks.

In this comparison picture we can safely assume that the 'EOS' will be as tall and as wide as the Lumia 920.
It will roughly share the same thickness (except for the camera hump which protrudes by mere millimeters.

Those pins holes on the back are for the wireless charging cover to connect to the battery so its pretty safe to say that wireless charging isn't going to be built in. Much like in the manor of the Lumia 925 which was stripped of internal wireless charger to reduce thickness and its safe to assume that the same reasons apply here.
To make up for the camera hump; the edges are curved and tapered to give the illusion that the phone is thinner than it actually is. It should also help toward a more comfortable presence in the hand.
By sharing the same Polycarbonate shell as the Lumia 920 it is expected that expandable storage options won't be available which makes no sense considering the images taken with this camera are going to take up a lot of storage. Users would just have to make do with the 32GB internal storage.
Hope you enjoyed my in depth analysis. If you've got any thoughts - sound off in the comments.
