PURE, POWERFUL, PREMIUM and definitely not PRICEY
In June 2012 Microsoft surprised us with the reveal of the Surface Pro and RT running Windows 8 in the embodiment of its ideal form factor: Tablet PC.
One to compete with the iPad and the other to compete with the MacBook Air. They were compelling devices offering a standard of quality that no other manufacturer was offering with the idea that you could have a consumption tablet (pun unintended) that was also a fully functional Windows PC. Its unique selling point: Receiving timely updates on the latest and greatest version of Android. This became the ideal choice for casual users and power users who were in the market for a 7" tablet.

Windows 8 will be released October 26th. This is the next PC operating system from Microsoft. It is focused on being touch friendly User interface (UI) for, you guessed it, touch screens! Along side the release of this OS is Windows RT. Windows RT is visually the same as Windows 8 except it is targeted directly at the iPad's territory, tablets.
