They were compelling devices offering a standard of quality that no other manufacturer was offering with the idea that you could have a consumption tablet (pun unintended) that was also a fully functional Windows PC.

The new models are expected to come with better battery life thanks to Intel's new Haswell processors which should top the average 5hrs on the Surface Pro along with some performance improvements. This, along with the £710 price tag not including a keyboard (which costs a shameful £110 extra) makes it really hard to recommend the Surface Pro and RT to anyone at the moment. I'd wait it out for the refresh, hold on folks.
